Tenbury is a pretty riverside rural town in the beautiful Teme Valley with the Worcestershire/Shropshire border running slap bang down the centre of the river.
Getting here by car:From the south/M5;
Take J6 A449 and follow the signs for Kidderminster. After 6 miles and on the approach to Ombersley take the A4133 signposted Tenbury. Follow this road for about 25 miles then bear left onto the A456 at Newnham Bridge arriving at Tenbury after another mile.
From the South on the A49 from Hereford/Leominster – turn right at the Salway Arms crossroads (south of Ludlow) onto the A456 and continue to Tenbury.
From the north/M6 and East:
Head south onto the M5 taking J3 exit signposted A456 Kidderminster. At Kidderminster take the 3rd exit at the roundabout onto the ring road following the A456. At all roundabouts continue to follow the A456 and remain on the A456 all the way to Tenbury.
From the North on the A49 from Shrewsbury – turn left at the Salway Arms crossroads (south of Ludlow) onto the A456 and continue to Tenbury.
From the West:
Take the A44 then A4112 to Leominster picking up the A49 towards Ludlow and continue to the Salway crossroads (south of Ludlow) turning right onto the A456 to Tenbury
Buses and trains;
While sadly we don’t have a rail service you can catch buses from Ludlow (731) or from Worcester (758) both of which are connected to rail services but be aware of the very limited services that we have in our rural locations.
