Following the creation of a community interest company Tenbury Music Festival organisers are celebrating the launch of their new website and are now preparing their 2018 programme for its major one day event on 30th June in Tenbury.

The popular annual contemporary music festival, which held its first event in 2014, will be looking to embrace a wider age range and develop greater community involvement as well as supporting a number of local bands.

Festival Chair, David Burton, commented “We will have some great bands, some of them returning by popular demand, playing from midday to midnight on the Main Stage. In addition, starting earlier in the day on our River Stage, we will have some powerful spoken word sessions and young musicians who have been supported through tutoring workshops during the year – thanks to Arts Council England funding”.

Festival Director, Graham James, added “Our reputation is clearly growing and we have some rich talent already lined up for the event, and while we haven’t even announced our headline act yet there is already a strong demand for tickets on-line and through Tenbury TIC – it’s going to be a fantastic day and we hope to raise significant funds and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust – our nominated charity”.
